For this purpose, a total number of 200 subjects of both sexes with an age ranged from 30-60 years were selected, of whom 100 were type 2 diabetic patients and 100 were apparently healthy. The results showed that, blood pressure was significantly higher (p<0.0001) in both males and females of the study group in comparison to the healthy control group. From this study, it may be concluded that type 2 diabetic patients are considered to have a significant positive relationship with the development of hypertension and metabolic abnormalities. So, prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus by taking necessary measures like regular physical exercise, intake of a healthy diet, behavior therapy and drugs may help in prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus related complications.
