Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College is a centre of excellence in medical education and treatment of patients in Bangladesh. This college is situated in a very beautiful place of Sylhet surrounded by green trees, gardens and tilas. Being established in 1995 in a single building, this college now has got 13 buildings of its own having about 8 lac square feet floor spaces. This huge task is not done in one day. This is the result of efforts made by all the members of Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya family from its establishment, the students, guardians, employees, staffs, officers, doctors, teachers and the patients.

Now the college along with its attached 750 bedded hospital has been established with all modern facilities to impart knowledge and training to the students and to provide health care facilities to the needy. The college now possesses a team of highly qualified, experienced and devoted teachers and staff who are putting up their best efforts to produce well qualified and trained medical graduates with high ethical values to serve the suffering humanity. I am confident that the students of this college will take the advantage of these opportunities to acquire knowledge, training and moral values with devotion and determination to make themselves the best in this field of medical profession and earn laurels for themselves and for their beloved college. I am sure that if we continue our efforts sincerely, this college will make a definite mark on the national and international health care system.

At the end I remember ‘The Mother’ of this institution late Begum Rabeya Khatun Chowdhury, the co-founder, who passed away on 12^th December 2006. Let Allah (SWT) bless her with Jannatul Ferdous as she tried her best to help and bless the helpless poor patients during her lifetime.
